I’m always amazed by the Holidays’ sneakiness. You’re just minding your own business, livin’ life and what not, and then BAM! You can’t walk without tripping over a candy cane. I do love presents and family-time, so not complaining — just musing. As usual. Moving on…
20-10. Jill at College Candy provides a lovely rundown of New Years worthy ensembles. I can relate far to well to her “five too many butterfly clips” and “platform gym shoes” nostalgia, by the way.
2 for 1. Sarah at Looking Sharp has a great idea for an eco-friendly wrapping paper stand-in. Grab our favorites here. Or even better, use a scarf. Just place the (smallish) present in the scarf’s center, bring up the ends of the scarf to form a pouch and tie them into a knot or bow. Ta Da!
There’s Something in Your Hair. As you’ve probably guessed, we’re all about accessories. However, when it come to hats I tend to cowardly receed into a corner. I just see so many more misses than hits in regard to this elusive fashion item, and frankly I’m scared. Luckily Kristen at Cool Mama Style provides some guidance and hope for us millineriphobics.
Work it Out. Rachel at The Working Wardrobe provides a very interesting look into a designer’s production of custom clothing pieces for a Chicago lawyer.
Cathartically Cheap. Are you a crafter? I love getting elbow deep in glue guns and pom poms. (My most recent project) I’m going through a studding phase currently and am thus particularly enthused about the embellished knee socks project in this rather wonderful collection of Holiday DIY projects.
For all the Xmas celebrators, last shopping weekend before the big day. Crazy, right?
P.S.: It’s not too late to order up some scarf goodness for the loved (or not so loved) ones – in fact, we’ll give you free Priority shipping until Monday, so it’ll get there on time fo sho!
