2010 Olympics Figure Skating Fashion, The Scarves they Should Have Worn

Sports-fanatic or not, it’s likely you tuned in to this year’s Winter Olympic games. Being a member of the latter group (my total apathy for sports is astounding), my interest in the event was peeked primarily by those games with some level of sartorial-stimulation.

Enter figure skating.

I was very much the girly-girl type of kid, and I’m still arrosed by a healthy dose little glitter and chiffon. In other words, I’d totally rock those saweet brightly-colored mini dresses with nude mesh cut-outs if it were socially accpetable. Can I get an Amen? …Anyone?

Anyway, watching these swan-like creatures perform throughout the past couple of weeks gave me the idea that their tiny ensembles needed something. What more fitting accessory is there for this chilli-weather sport than the scarf?

FIGURE-SKATING/pink cotton scarfU.S. skater Johnny Weir looks like a naughty Ken doll, or Ken’s flamboyant evil twin, perhaps? Either way, this strategetricly sliced bodysuit would look great with an extra touch of pink, no?

Sticking with metallic touches, blue hues and ruffly flair, the scarf at right would put put the blue in red, white and blue. Oh, they’re from China? Just go with it.
